How do you find your passion? If you could do one thing to transform your life, I would highly recommend it be to find something you’re passionate about, and do it for a living. Learning how to find your passion may not be as easy as it sounds, but it’s well worth the effort.
Passions evolve out of experiences. If you’re looking to feel passionate about something before doing it, then you’re going to be looking for a long time.
I started by looking outside-in instead of inside-out. When I started I thought about what I studied, what I feel comfortable in doing and what makes the fastest money. Little did I know this was going to backfire. I didn’t feel happy in doing it and it wasn’t sustainable. Because I didn’t felt I was doing what I was suppose to do.
Find your passion by going inside. How? By taking the time and rest. I know how easy this sounds but a lot of people struggle with this. Sitting and doing nothing is something can’t do. We start to think about the past and the future. What do you believe about yourself, your possibilities and your dreams. This is very important because a lot of time people keep themselves small and therefore don’t dare to dream bigger. Going inside means for me to start sit with your feelings. Accept every emotions being sad, angry, embarrassed, tired, happy, frustrated. Finding what truly gives me a happy feeling and start analyzing my body. How does my breathing go when I think about this or that.
Finding your passion is also looking at what you are good at and what you like doing. Do you have a hobby or something you loved doing as a child, but never considered it as a possibility for a job? If there’s already something you love doing, you’re ahead of the game. Now you just need to research the possibilities of making money from it.
We often think that if we find our passion, then we will have clarity and know what to do with our lives. But that’s just when it all starts. Life is a series of confusing situations.
